Obituary

ANTHONY D. CORDATO Retired from Treadwell Corp WOLCOTT ~ Anthony D. Cordato, 89, of Wolcott passed away on Tuesday, November 2nd at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Yolanda (Marchetti) Cordato. Mr. Cordato was born August 9, 1921 in Hudson, NY, son of the late Rocco and Mary (Cincetta) Cordato. He is a US veteran of WWII, serving with the Coast Guard on the ship U.S.C.G. Cobb. He retired from Treadwell Corp. after 30 years of service and was a member of the Hudson Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Cordato enjoyed carpentry and was known for tinkering with various projects in his garage. He attended St. Michaels Church. Besides his wife, Yolanda of 49 years, he leaves his daughter, Maria Ricci and her fianc, Bart Monti of Wolcott, his sister, Anna Ballard of Ft. Anne, NY, his granddaughters, Ashley and Gina Ricci, several nieces and nephews, his best friend, Charles Snyder of Cape Cod, MA and his many friends on Sky Hill Dr. He was predeceased by his daughter Lori-Ann. The family would like to express their gratitude to St. Marys Hospital, Xavier 3 Doctors and nurses who compassionately cared for him. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:45 am from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Michaels Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am.
