Wolcott - Mr. Anthony John Christoff, 82, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit in St. Marys Hospital. He was the loving husband of Mrs. June (Capaldo) Christoff. Anthony was born on July 31, 1932 in Mahonoy City, PA, son of the late John and Mary (Sablauskas) Christoff. Anthony attended local schools and graduated from Crosby High School, class of 1950, and later from Post University where we achieved his degree in Accounting. He served honorably and proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Anthony was a long time employee of the Torrington Supply Co. (Torrco) in Waterbury which he retired from after many years of service. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife, Anthony is survived by his children, Christopher Christoff, and Tina Beltrami, both of Wolcott; a sister, Elizabeth Christoff; a brother George Christoff; grandchildren, Corey and Jerrid Christoff of Southington, and Daniel and Eric Beltrami of Wolcott; his great-grandson, Jonathan Grimaldi; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Norman, Robert, Raymond, and Charles Christ; and granddaughter, Amber Lee Grimaldi. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. K. Jegathesan, the aides from Companions and Homemakers, and Aging Better at Home, and the nurses and staff at Vitas. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A Funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 62 St. Michael's Dr., Waterbury. Prayers of committal will follow in Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott.
