Annette Y. LaMadeleine Faithful Roman Catholic MIDDLEBURY- On Friday May 17, 2024, Miss Annette Y. LaMadeleine was taken to heaven from Complete Care at Middlebury just over a month prior to her 100th birthday. Born on July 2, 1924 in West Glover, VT, Annette was proud to be the last living of the fourteen children of the late Alphonse and Cordelia (Gerrard) LaMadeleine. She worked at several places in her life including Liggetts Drug Store, Waterbury Button, Anchor Fastener and retired from St. Marys Hospital. In her younger days, Annette served as a Nun in Canada in the Congregation of Sisters of Saint Joan of Arc. That lead to her long life of faithfulness. Annettes hobbies included playing games on her computer, gardening, cooking, baking, and sewing. She loved to care for her Penguin Finch birds in her home in Waterbury. Annette is survived by many generations of nieces and nephews and received tremendous loving care from Nancy Grandpre, Dana Kubiska and Denise Parsons. For the last 11 years Annette has resided in the Middlebury Convalescent Home where she made countless friends, and her family is extremely grateful for the wonderful care that she received there. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Annettes life on Wednesday May 22nd in St. John of the Cross Church 1263 West St. in Middlebury beginning at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
