Wolcott - Annette "Toni" L. Flaherty, 72, passed into Heaven on Monday, August 29, 2016, at St. Marys Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Stephen Flaherty. Annette was born on All Saints Day, November 1, 1943, in Waterbury, to the late Michael and Nancy (Pesino) Trentanina. She graduated from Wilby High School, Class of 1961. She was a manager of the "Pie Plate" restaurant for 16 years, known to all as "Toni." She was an accomplished cook and home maker. Besides her husband, Stephen, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Bartkus, and her husband, Michael; her son, Thomas McGrath; her step-daughters, Barbara Stango, and her husband, Gary; Kathleen Dickey, and her husband, James; her step-sons, Steven Flaherty, Jr., and his wife, Lourdes; and David Flaherty; her loving sister, Carol Calo; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews whose company she cherished. Calling hours will be held Friday, September 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Burial will be private.
