ANITA PROMOTICO WOLCOTT ~ Anita (Ciccio) Promotico, 68, of Wolcott passed away on Sunday, January 17th at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Joseph Promotico, Jr. Anita was born April 11, 1941 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Salvatore and Camella (Rinaldi) Ciccio. She graduated as valedictorian of Waterbury Catholic High School in 1959 and was a Certified Massage Therapist. She attended services at the Waterville Bible Church. Anita was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed singing in the gospel choir. She will be remembered for her love of life and she touched so many people with her wisdom, inspiration and wit. Besides her husband of 47 years, she leaves her sons, James and his wife, Lucia of Torrington, Michael and his wife, Lisa of Carlsbad, CA and Christopher and his wife, Claudia of Oceanside, CA, her brothers, Thomas Ciccio of Middlebury, Joseph Ciccio of Wolcott, and John Ciccio of Watertown, her sisters, Carol Accardi of Eastham, MA, Mary Caputo of Boston, MA, and Anne Marie Malon of Torrington, and her grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony and Coleman. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Promotico III. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott with Pastor Dick Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
