Anita C. Heche "Beloved wife and mother"
Anita C. (Duplessis) Heche, 91 years old, died peacefully on Monday, Oct 16th at The Village of East Farms in Waterbury, just 4 days before her 92nd birthday,.
Anita was born in Waterbury on October 20, 1931, to George and Marie (Lacombe) Duplessis. She grew up in Waterbury and was the beloved wife of the late Adrian "Andy" Heche for 56 years raising 3 children.
In 1969 she was hired by Sears and Roebuck Company to work in the catalog department at the then newly built Naugatuck Valley Mall. She loved her job and stayed with Sears until they later relocated to the Brass Mill Center Mall. Once retired, she later decided to work part time for Allyns Cleaners in Watertown.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. She loved to shop and always made sure we hit every "sales rack". She was a great bargain shopper. Mom also enjoyed her occasional glass of Chardonnay.
Anita leaves to cherish her memory her 3 children, son Robert A. Heche of Waterbury, son David R. Heche and his wife Ginny of Florida and daughter Denise "Dee" (Heche) Babcock of Wolcott, 5 grandkids, a grand dog named Winston, 7 great grandchildren, her sister Pauline Bessette of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. Anita was also predeceased by her 3 sisters, Jeanne Boisvert, Fern Coy, and Yvette Johnston and one brother Ronald Duplessis and son-in law George Babcock.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Village for their ongoing support for our mom and most importantly we would especially like to thank the Elder Crew Agency for the 3 special caregivers our mom had for her care. They provided exceptional care to our mom.
Friends and Family are invited to Anitas Mass meeting directly at St. Basil The Great Parish/St. Pius X Church 525 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott on Monday, Oct. 23rd at 10 AM.
