Wolcott- Alice May (Peach) Mancinone, wife of the late John Mancinone, passed aeway on May 8, 2013 at home with her beloved English Bulldog, Beckham at her side.
Alice was born in Waterbury on December 13, 1921 to the late Arthur and Thelma (Elsdon) Peach. Alice spent most of her life dedicated to the raising of her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, St. Patricks Ladies Guild, The Bulldog Club of America, and the American Guild of Organist. Throughout the years Alice volunteered her time to many causes including St. Marys Hospital, The American Red Cross and the local Soup Kitchen. Up until her passing, she volunteered helping animals through Straykatz in Naugatuck. Besides her love of animals, Alice enjoyed classical and organ music. She was a season ticket holder to the Waterbury Symphony and the Metropolitan Opera and also a long time member of St. Johns Choir.
Alice is survived by her sister Dolores Walker, her children, Lorraine Emanuel and her husband Thomas, Joan Mancinone, Lisa Mancinone, and Alan Mancinone, her grandchildren, Jacob Emanuel and his wife Christina, Zachary Mecier, Alexis (Langlois)Hauslaib and her husband Benjamin, Gabrielle Mancinone, Carly Mancinone, her great grandchildren, Angelina and Liliana Emanuel.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, from 4:00-7:00pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Family and friends will meet directly at St. Johns Episcopal Church on Tuesday for a funeral service at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott.
