WATERBURY ~ Albert "Bert" Montambault, 61, of Waterbury passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Gail (Malenfant) Montambault. Bert was born August 6, 1949 in Waterbury, son of the late Walter and Elfriede (Meixlsperger) Montambault. He received an Associates degree from Post University and had been employed at New England Motor Freight for several years. Bert played softball for local teams and was a fan of the Yankees. His favorite pastimes included watching baseball and horse racing. Besides his wife, Gail of 34 years, he leaves his children, Albert L. Montambault, Jeremy Montambault and Jennie Montambault, all of Waterbury, his brother, Walter E. Montambault and his wife, Elizabeth of Jackson, Mississippi, and his grandchildren, Brianna, Aseah, and Angilese, his aunt, Rose Anne McGill of Wolcott and cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 15th at 1 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
