ALBERT AMBROSE
WOLCOTT ~ Albert A. Ambrose, 90, of Wolcott passed away on Tuesday, September 1st at Wolcott View Manor. He was the husband of Rita (Audibert) Ambrose.
Mr. Ambrose was born June 17, 1919 in Woodbury, son of the late Adolph A. and Patricia (Butkus) Ambrose. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy and received the American Theatre Medal and the Victory Medal. He was a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. He retired from Rostra and Haydan Switch Instrument as a Product Designer. He was a member of St. Pius X Church, the Charles Reitdyke Senior Center and the D.A.V.
Besides his wife of 63 years, he leaves his daughter, Carol Bianchi (Leo) of Waterbury, his son, Arthur A. Ambrose (Mary Ellen) of Keller, TX, his grandchildren, Steve Bianchi (Nikki), Michelle Bianchi, Kathleen Ambrose Quarantello (John Michael) , Patricia Ambrose and Brian Ambrose, his great grandchildren, Donaven Bianchi, Riley Bianchi and Nina Bianchi, and sister-in-law, Priscilla Ivon. He was predeceased by his brother, Alfred A. Ambrose.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8th at 9:30 am from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for a funeral mass at 10 am. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 am until the time of the service.
