Waterbury – Wilma J. (Roaix) Deziel, 74, passed away on Friday evening, May 5, at the Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her children.

Wilma was born March 23, 1943 in Houlton, Maine, daughter of the late John and Nina (Stockford) Roaix. She will be remembered for her love of crocheting, bingo, crafting and camping, but most especially for the joy she found in spending time with her family. Family and friends will cherish the crocheted gifts she left behind.

She is survived by five daughters, Dolores Bernardi of Waterbury, Carole DeCorso and her husband Michael of Waterbury, Michelle Diaz and her husband Jose of Northfield, Theresa Keith of Waterbury and Rose Darst and her husband Shane of Torrington; one son, Thomas D. Deziel of Waterbury; one brother, James Roaix of Tahlequah, OK; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be private.
