Tribute

Robert "Bart" Bartolini

WOLCOTT- Robert "Bart" F. Bartolini passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at VITAS unit in St. Mary’s Hospital on Thursday February 22nd one day after his 68th birthday.

Robert was born in Waterbury, son of the late Alfred and Mary (Legge) Bartolini. He graduated from Wolcott High School and married his high school sweetheart Darlene Dollinger.  They were both lifelong Wolcott residents.

Bart was diligent and conscientious continuing to work for Schmidt Electric as an electrician throughout his battle with cancer.  He was an intelligent person with extensive knowledge. His family would refer to him as "Knower of all things".

He had a great personality, a beautiful smile and was loved and adored by all who knew him.  He was always in a good mood, and he never complained even with everything that he endured.  Bart showed kindness and graciousness to everyone he met up until his last days.  He appreciated every moment of his life, and never took anything for granted.  He had tremendous faith in God that carried him up until the end.   He cherished the time he spent on his boat "Papa's Toy" cruising the lake.  He loved Nascar, his cookies every morning, and just spending time with all of his family and friends making memories that they will carry on.   Above all else he appreciated the life he built with his loving wife Darlene, their children and grandchildren.  They meant the world to him. His legacy will live on.

Left to carry on his legacy are his beloved wife of 46 years Darlene, his daughter Jill and her husband Joel Szep, his son Ryan and his wife Thi Bartolini, his grandchildren Hailey and Logan Szep, Kyla, Evan, Kai and Gianna Bartolini, his brothers Gino (Joe) Bartolini, Fred (Cathy) Bartolini, James (Ann) Bartolini, his sister Diane (Gorden) Sandell, his best friend since childhood Bobby Parks, and  many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Gary Bartolini, his two brothers John and Richard Bartolini.

Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral Service on Monday, February 26th at 12 noon at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
