Mr Milos Irra

Wolcott – Mr. Milos Irra, 77, passed away on Wednesday morning, February 14, at Vitas Hospice Inpatient Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of Beatrice Irra.

Milos was born August 15, 1946, in Prague, Czech Republic, son of the late Adolph and Bozena (Hnykova) Irra. Milos immigrated to the United States in 1969 to make a better life for himself. He gained employment at the Waterbury Farrel Foundry as a Tooling Machinist. He then went on to work for the Chapman Machine Company and then to Eastern Plastics, retiring in 2012. He had served in Czech Army as a Grenadier in the ZA 300th unit. He will be remembered for his love of hockey and soccer and the joy he found in gardening and maintaining his yard.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Milan Kupka of Waterbury; two daughters, Monica Irra of Wolcott and Ilona Kupka of NC.; two sisters, Mirka and Kveta, both of the Czech Republic; four grandchildren, Michael, Wyatt, Wade and Joseph and many nieces and nephews.
