Wolcott - Marie A. Pulford, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Pulford, Sr.

Marie was born in Waterbury, on August 8, 1927, to the late Benjamin and Anna (Orintas) Lupkas. Being a devoted homemaker, she took pride in caring for her home as well as her family. Mrs. Pulford enjoyed painting the house and tending to the landscaping. She was also very good at sewing clothes and curtains. She not only loved to travel with her late husband, but would help him when he was president of AARP of Naugatuck. She was truly a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Mrs. Pulford is survived by her sons, Robert Pulford, Jr., and his wife, Cheryl, of Wolcott; Steven Pulford, and his wife, Janice, of Wolcott; her daughter, Linda Catalina, and her husband, James, of Wolcott; her brothers, Edmund Lupkas, and his wife, Margaret; Raymond Lupkas, and his wife, Jackie; John Lupkas; Robert Lupkas, and his wife, Gretchen; and Richard Lupkas, and his wife, Madeline; her grandchildren, Brian Pulford, his wife, Vesna, and their children, Brain Jr., and Wesley; Marc Pulford, his wife, Jessica, and their son, Landon; Jaime Iorio; Kristen, Jessica, and Kyle Pulford; and step-granddaughter, Jessica Catalina; several nieces and nephews; and extended family.

Including her husband, Robert of 61 years, Marie was also predeceased by her sister, Dolores Zdanowicz; and sister in law, Joan Lupkas.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo the Great, 14 Bentwood Dr. Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Gifty Lawson Addo, Marie’s wonderful caregiver, for the exceptional love and care she has given to her, as well as Tommy Crocco, and Vitas Hospice Home Care to whom we are forever grateful.
