Wolcott – Mrs. Lorraine H. (Mastronato) Buonocore, 82, of Wolcott, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Cheshire House. She was the loving wife of Mr. Anthony Buonocore.

Lorraine was born on July 18, 1935 in Waterbury, daughter of the late John and Yvonne (Lezotte) Mastronato. Lorraine was employed as a secretary in the Wolcott school system for over 28 years until her retirement. She was a communicant at St. Pius X Church in Wolcott for a number of years where she served in the Ladies Guild and as a Sunday School Teacher. Lorraine will be remembered for her love of children and after her retirement she would donate her time reading stories to them at local schools. Her biggest passions in life were swimming, dancing and traveling with her husband, Anthony.

Besides her husband, Lorraine is survived by three children, Joanne Ciriello and her husband Thomas of Wolcott, Lori DeSorbo and her husband Carmine of Thomaston; and Michael Buonocore and his wife Donna of Oakville; her sister Jeanette Crowe of Burlington; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Anthony Buonocore.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 29 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery.
