Waterbury – Lena Pelletier, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. She was the wife of the late Romeo Pelletier.
Lena was born in Fort Kent, Maine, on April 8, 1927 to the late Hyacinth and Edna (Lafrance) Charette, and was raised on the family farm. She fell in love and got married to Romeo, sharing 65 years of marriage, and together, they enjoyed raising their 5 kids. Lena was a devoted housewife and was dedicated to her children. She valued strong family ties and ensured harmony and a unity which held the family close. Lena was a devout Catholic who prayed to St. Jude. Her hobbies included reading, long walks, dancing with family, and all family get-togethers.
Lena is survived by her sons, Michael Pelletier; and Gary Pelletier; her daughters, Christina George; Diane Pelletier; and Carline Ficeto; her grandchildren, Christopher George; Thomas Ficeto, and his wife, Teagan; Amanda Pelletier; and Michael Pelletier; her great granddaughter, Gwynna Monet Ficeto; her sister, Verna; several nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Lena was predeceased by her husband, Romeo, in 2008; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from Woodtick Memorial to the Shrine of St. Anne, 515 S. Main St., Waterbury, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
