I remember Jay well as a classmate, class of 1967. I think I can speak for our class, we will miss him at our 50th reunion this September and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.

During high school, as a close friend of Jay's cousin, I loved stopping at Crocco's Bakery, late at night after our fencing lesson, to get hot fresh baked bread for free, it didn't get better than that.

So sorry for your loss. Jay will be missed by everyone he touched. I will not forget all the good times we have had throughout the years. I have known Jay since I was 7 as he was best friends with the brother of one of my best friends, Eric and John. I bought my first Harley from Jay and will never sell that bike. Gonna miss you Jay.

So many great memories of Jay. That smile could brighten the grayest of days! So sorry to have lost him so soon though know that he will never be forgotten. He is there in the first rays of daylight when often Jay was the only one up and at 'em. He lives in your hearts and in the laughter of his many friends Hoping the memories shared with others will bring some comfort to you as you say, "So long! See you next round!"

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jay's family. I will miss him dearly. I could write forever about the many ways Jay made us laugh but we all have our stories. Jay was one of the very 1st people I met on the golf course when I was 12, back in 1980. He was honestly the one person who didn't treat me like just another wiseass kid screwing around on the golf course. He was always really good to me. It might have been because he knew my brothers and my mom but he always respected me. I developed a great fondness for Jay and never, ever remember us not laughing during any given situation or conversation we were having. It was tough to see Jay become ill but I feel very, very lucky that I got to play golf with him one more time, less than 2 months ago in a tournament. He actually played pretty darn good for a guy in his condition. He told me he would hit a shot here and there, depending on how he felt. Surprisingly, he hit practically every shot and even sank a birdie on the very last hole.
Jay, I'm gonna miss you a ton. I'll miss seeing you looking for balls, making new rock formations, joking with me, taking away my iron and telling me to hit driver. I'll miss you just being there.
