Bridgeport – Mrs. Judith (Marcil) Asselin, 84, formerly of Waterbury and Southbury, passed away on Saturday evening, March 2, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. She was the widow of Raymond Asselin.
Judith was born December 13, 1939, in Bristol, daughter of the late Romeo and Florence (Phaneuf) Marcil. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and then went on the University of Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist School. She had a long career as a dental hygienist working with the late Dr. Clifford Warner.
She is survived by her children, David Asselin of CO, Elise A. Hug of PA and Peter Asselin and his wife Erin of MA; her sister, Jane McDuff of Southington; her grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer and Gandolph and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her twin sons, Scott and Steven.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 9, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John of the Cross Church 1263 West St. Middlebury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Friends may visit with Judith’s family from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
