Wolcott—Joseph J. Promotico, Jr., 77, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017,at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the devoted husband of the late Anita (Ciccio) Promotico.
Joseph was born in Waterbury, CT on February 22, 1940, to the late Joseph J. Promotico, Sr., and Rose (Mastropietro) Promotico. Joseph proudly served his country in the Army. He worked at Scovill Manufacturing for 25 years. After the passing of his wife he spent a couple years living in CA. Joseph was an avid bowler, loved vintage cars, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and worked out every day.
Papa Joe leaves behind his sons, James Promotico, and his wife, Lucia, of Torrington; Michael Promotico, and his wife, Jacqueline, of Dana Point, CA; and Christopher Promotico, and his wife Claudia, of Oceanside, CA; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Shea, Gavin, Coleman, Cooper, and Violet.
Including his wife of 47 years, Anita, Joseph was predeceased by his son, Joseph J. Promotico, III.
A calling hour will be held Monday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A funeral home service will be held at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
