Dana, I just spoke with you today and then went directly to the obituary. As soon as I saw his picture I could tell he was someone special. That smile. I am so so sorry for the loss of such a loved man. You and your family will be in my prayers. “Love never dies”

Dear Roberts Family,
I spent 2 years at Ft Bragg with Jim in the 82nd Airborne. I have always wondered what Jim was up to. It was a shock to finally find him. I didn't expect to find him here.
Jim was a great friend. As everyone has said there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for you. I really cherished the time I spent with him. There was no doubt in my mind that if we ever had to go to battle he would have my back.
In closing, I am very sorry it took me 40 years to find Jim. I will cherish the memories that we had.
God Bless Jim and Family...

Jim was a dear colleague from Boehringer. He combined both a high level of expertise and a personality that just made him a pleasure to work with. I also interacted with him on the Allotrope Foundation, where he made major contributions and will be dearly missed.

My sincere condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences to Mr. Roberts. I don't know this man at all, or the family not one family member, but I was compelled to leave a condolence after reading the obituary in the paper. I am in shock and awe and sincerely moved to chills while reading about by the short lived life of Mr. Roberts respectively! May the good Lord comfort you all during this very difficult, heart wrenching time. Naming the stars blew me away praise God 🌟There is no need to reply even though I left the email as you will be very busy and lovingly searching your hearts about this incredibly gifted man. I know what the losses are like. I lost both parents in my 30s. As the saying goes, time, in my humble opinion, doesn't necessarily heal the deep loss , however it makes it more manageable. Fondly and respectfully, Marianne Fusco

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family of my dearest friend and colleague.

Know thou of a truth that the soul, after its separation from the body, will continue to progress until it attaineth the presence of God, in a state and condition which neither the revolution of ages and centuries, nor the changes and chances of this world, can alter. It will endure as long as the Kingdom of God, His sovereignty, His dominion and power will endure. It will manifest the signs of God and His attributes, and will reveal His loving kindness and bounty.

From that time, through our work and our conversations, I could see in him a genuinely kind, optimistic spirit, who did not hesitate to help anyone he knew. I likened Jim's spirit to a beautiful gem, which gave its brightness to all who were near. Now, his brightness will be with us forever in our hearts. Dear Jim, Dana, Josh, Justin and Matt,

I met your Jim 15 years ago and recently I had the blessing to meet all of you. Jim was a kind hearted spirit who would help anyone he met. As a leader, mentor and friend, his strength came from his core and the foundation was his family. For Jim, family meant both blood and non blood related people in his life. What I will miss the most is his smile, his optimism, his quick witted sense of humor and his pure genuineness to do whatever was needed. I will miss sitting near him. However I know his spirit has found peace and I will continue to share his story.

Love,
Vijo
